Meet the Horses

We currently have five horses we use regularly for lessons. This ensures we are able to properly support each individual student’s needs with the horse of their dreams.

Joe

Joe has the ability to take on our more experienced riders with trotting and loping. He enjoys bonding with participants while being brushed and petted.

Mocha

Aptly named, our gorgeous Mocha Jean is a staple of the program. She is reliable and the best babysitter to our dependent riders. Whether it is playing games on her back, or walking with sidewalks, she is the horse for the job.

Sugar

Sugar is owned by our Executive Director, Kassi, who is also our lead instructor. Sugar was trained to be a therapy horse by Kassi herself, so she is WELL equipped to serve the students that need the most help.

Sis

Sis is our tallest horse and one of the sweetest personalities. She has a way knowing what the students need and is the gentle giant of the herd.

Frosty

Frosty is our pony of the herd. He is loved for his ability to be used for unmounted lessons, being the perfect size to walk alongside students and be a part of the games and fun.
